One look inside her new salon, and I knew Divine Designs By Ashley was definitely a place where style, elegance and sophistication are a top priority.  The salon, just like the website, is reflective of a brand of hair-styling, that owner Ashley Anderson says dates back to her early years…when she knew she would never just be an “ordinary stylist!”  Instead, her goal was to be a Hair Designer, creating a signature look for every client each time they visit the salon.  Today, inside her new place at 2522 Capital Circle NE, Suite 11 in Tallahassee, FL…I’m convinced her dreams have definitely started to come true.

Ashley’s Hair Design History dates back to her early years…as a child always wanting to style her mother’s hair. Thankfully, her Mom…would always play along…she remembers…and soon she got better and better at it. “I knew I had a gift for doing hair at a very early age. It just came natural for me!” And by her teen years…she was really making a name for herself…becoming known for her signature styles for her friends & family. Those years were the beginning of her transition from an ordinary stylist to a designer.

In 2005, Ashley became a licensed cosmetologist…and officially started the concept of Divine Designs By Ashley!  “My clientele is as unique as my designs. I design hair for all ages, styles, textures…and it doesn’t take me all day to do it!” I laughed, as I thought about how I have often dreaded going to the salon…out of anxiety about how long I might be in there. Ashley says it’s important to help clients receive the best in healthy hair care..on a schedule that fits their Life! “I try to set my schedule in a way where everyone gets the one-on-one attention they need…and can leave out in a timely manner!”

When she’s not creating exclusive hair designs…Ashley is spending time with her family and worshipping God. In fact, she shares…Divine Designs is more than a name…it tells of her Faith in what God has given her! “Divine means a talent or ability given by God. Design means to form or conceive in the mind. I believe my talent was conceived in the mind of God since the very beginning.  Now…I’m blessed to be Living It Out!”

Divine Designs by Ashley is located at 2522 Capital Circle NE, Suite 11 – The Canopy Lane Plaza. She is open to schedule appointments Monday-Saturday. She specializes in all phases of Healthy Hair Care, Natural Hair Styling, Extensions, Cuts, Coloring, Relaxers and Style Treatments.
